The ACI/PTS3.2 converts two digital(increase/decrease) signals into a proportional 0 to 15 PSI pneumatic output with 255 steps of resolution. The digital inputs can be either a relay contact closure, transistor, or triac. Some common applications include pneumatic damper motor control, pneumatic valve actuator control, compressor staging, or electric control of any pneumatic actuator.
The pneumatic output will increase when the up input is on, or decrease when the down input is on at the selected rate of change. Not only does the ACI/PTS3.2 have LED indication for both the Increase and Decrease inputs but it also contains a manual override potentiometer. The PTS3.2 also has a corresponding 0 to 5 VDC feedback signal that may be connected to the controllers input to monitor the branch line pressure. A regulated 24VDC or 22 to 28 VAC supply voltage is required with a supply pressure of 20 to 30 PSI.
The PTS3.2 maintains the last commanded pressure since it has a closed loop electronic design. This means that as soon as the power fails both the main and branch valves close holding the pressure at the last output as long as the branch line does not have a leak. Another version is the ACI/PTS3.2FS. The only difference in the PTS3.2FS is that it is designed with (2) Normally Open valves so that the branch pressure output drops to 0 PSI on power loss.
Connections are made with barbed fittings for 1/4" O.D. (1/8" I.D.) polyethylene or PVC tubing. For local gauge monitoring of branch pressure, a 1/8"-27 FNPT port is incorporated in the aluminum manifold.
