Modems, facsimile machines and
telephone equipment are easily damaged by
transients caused by lightning and switching surges. The DLP-4.71 installs in minutes
between the telephone/data line and the sensitive equipment to provide quick and
dependable protection I/O ports. For
particularly severe transient conditions, model DLP-4.71 incorporates a gas diode for
substantially greater heavy-duty diversion capability. Protection circuitry on both units
automatically resets after the transient has passed.
