Monitoring kWH (Consumption) Only

For monitoring only consumption (kWH), the VERIS 6010 series power transducer provides a cost-effective, high accuracy (better than 1% accuracy). The meter is slightly smaller and less expensive than the 6000 series and provides the added advantage of a fixed pulse output value (1 kWH/pulse), minimizing the need for time-consuming setup and programming. The 6010 also excepts a wide range of voltage inputs (208 to 480) in a single model and utilizes only three sizes of CT's, making selection and ordering a simple process. The 6010 comes standard in a NEMA 1 enclosure, with other options available upon request, including NEMA 4x, NEMA 12 and flush-mounted enclosures for rough-in installation.

Installation instructions:

  1. Disconnect all power from the source prior to installation
  2. Make voltage connections using 14-26 AWG wire, fused according to NEC requirements, being sure to observe phasing (A,B, and C)
  3. Install Veris "safe" CT's on primary conductors... critical concerns for CT installation are:
  4. Connect outputs from power meter to automation system
  5. Turn on the load being monitored

Typical 6010 installation:

Applications are suggestions. Field applications vary; since manufacturer does not install the devices, it is up to the installer to ensure suitability and compliance to appropriate codes.
